May is Mental Health Awareness month. It should come as no surprise that students who are diagnosed with both a disability and a mental health disorder are less likely to enroll in postsecondary institutions, face lower rates of employment after graduation, and struggle with learning the tasks to live independently. Supporting students in each of these areas needs to be ongoing from multiple stakeholders (counselors, therapists, job coaches, etc.). MVP Transition Consulting can assist students with navigating these barriers and turning them into opportunities for a successful transition to adulthood.
